What is Freesat?

Freesat is also known as Free to air Satellite, Freeview or Sat4free. It is a digital satellite tv service from the BBC and ITV with no subscription, no contract and just a once-off fee.

What channels will I get?

All BBC, ITV, CH4, CH5, plus movies, kids, news, entertainment, music and radio.

Can I get the Irish channels?

No but RTE1, RTE2, TV3 & TG4 are all available via a normal TV Aerial

Can I watch different channels in different rooms?

Yes but you will require an extra box fitted to the other TV's.

Will Freesat affect my existing aerial?

No, you can still use your existing aerial in the exact same way.

What is Standard Installation?

Standard Installation allows for most installations, however should additional brackets, cable, fittings or labour be required, this may incur an additional fee which will be discussed with you prior to work commencing.

What is the difference between Free to Air and Freesat?

With the Freesat box, there is automatic channel update, a 7 day TV Guide and a Red Button Interactive Service which are not on the Free to Air System.

What is Saorview?

Saorview is the Irish Digital Service being launched in October 2012. It will have RTE 1, RTE 2, TV3, TG4, 3E, RTE Jnr and RTE News channels.

Will I be able to get Saorview without and Aerial?

No the Saorview Digital Boxes or Saorview compatable Televisions are connect to your existing aerial to convert the signal from Analogue to Digital

Will I get my UK Terrestrial Chanels?

Depending on the area you are in you may or may not. This depends on the Signal. Some areas may get the Digital Freeview Signal when the Analogue is switched off.

What are my other options?

We can supply and combined Saorview and Freesat Box which can be fitted and connected to a Satellite Dish and Aerial or you can install Sky TV for a monthly subscription
